About UsDementia, Caregiving, Stress, Overwhelm, Anxiety, Anger, Guilt and Self-esteem related issues are the areas in which Nadine specializes.
If you are coping with stress in a way that sabotages you (like overeating, drinking, procrastinating, fighting, withdrawing, etc.), or if difficult feelings, thoughts or memories are getting in the way of enjoying life and relationships, you are at the right place. |
Nadine Jans is a registered clinical counsellor in BC and a psychologist in the Netherlands and has gained over a decade of experience working with adults with overwhelm, depression, anxiety, dementia, and brain damage, their families, and professionals, in both communities and complex care residences.
She is on a mission to end the unnecessary stress, overwhelm, and loneliness of caregivers (professional or family) and people living with depression or dementia.
She is the creator of Experience-Centered Care with H.E.A.R.T. Methodology ™ for care-partners (professional and family), which is a cutting-edge methodology that provides a step-by-step framework for what to do and how to do it at the right moment. This methodology helps transform behaviours, create more inner peace for both the person with dementia and the caregiver, and significantly improves quality of life, while saving lots of time.
This is based on evidence based research, neuroscience and best practices.
Nadine has experienced personally how life is profoundly affected when a close family member develops dementia, and she aims to guide others with her personal and professional knowledge. Nadine has been providing workshops and training to the staff of Fraser Health Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health, amongst others.
