As the days get shorter and the chill sets in, the Tri-Cities come alive with community spirit, local markets, and holiday cheer. Here are five events happening this November, from Coquitlam to Port Moody, worth marking on your calendar.


1. Coquitlam Remembrance Day Ceremony
📅 November 11 | ⏰ Parade 10:30 a.m., Ceremony 11 a.m. | 📍 Blue Mountain Park Cenotaph
Join the community to honour Canada’s veterans at Coquitlam’s annual Remembrance Day parade and ceremony. The procession begins at Como Lake Middle School and ends at the Blue Mountain Park Cenotaph. Leading up to the day, residents can also participate in the Poppy Painting displays and Park Spark Coquitlam Remembers activities.


2. ⭐️Jingle & Mingle Winter Fair For Seniors⭐️

📅 November 13, 1-4pm | 📍 Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre
Enjoy an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and festive holiday cheer, featuring live Christmas carolling by the Silver Chord Choir, cozy hot apple cider, vendor and exhibitor tables with local senior service providers and artisans, creative craft tables, and exciting door prizes and giveaways, including festive gift baskets. This free event is designed for seniors to connect, celebrate, and enjoy a joyful afternoon together, so bring a friend, explore, and soak in the holiday spirit.


3. Blackberry Winter Arts Market
📅 November 13 – December 22 | 📍 PoMoArts, Port Moody
Returning for its 28th year, the Blackberry Winter Arts Market transforms the PoMoArts galleries into a festive wonderland filled with locally made art, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, and more. Don’t miss the Opening Reception on November 13 (6–8 p.m.) — complete with light refreshments and holiday cheer.


4. Oakdale Christmas Market and Craft Fair
📅 November 22 | ⏰ 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | 📍 Greater Heights Learning Academy, Coquitlam
Kick off the holiday season with this family-friendly Christmas market featuring over 60 vendors, photos with Santa and the Grinch, cookie decorating, and face painting. The first 100 visitors get a free gift and a chance to win prizes. Admission is free, and pets are welcome on leash.


5. Lights at Lafarge
📅 Opening Night: November 28 | 📍 Town Centre Park, Coquitlam | 💡 Free Admission
One of Metro Vancouver’s largest outdoor light displays, Lights at Lafarge returns to transform the 1.2 km loop around Lafarge Lake into a dazzling winter wonderland. Opening night features live performances, food trucks, and holiday festivities. Bundle up and enjoy a stroll through the glowing lakeside paths all season long.


6. Port Moody Winter Farmers’ Market
📅 Every Sunday, November to April | ⏰ 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | 📍 Port Moody Recreation Complex
The Port Moody Winter Farmers’ Market is a staple of the community, bringing together local farmers, bakers, and artisans each week. Pick up fresh BC produce, handmade goods, and warm baked treats while supporting small businesses. It’s the perfect Sunday outing before the holidays.
